When does Registration open for 2011? May 3rd 2010.

When does Registration close? Online closes April 28th 2010. Expo Registration is available on Friday April 30th and Saturday May 1st 2010.

Can I switch race distances after I have signed up? Yes you can at the Expo. There will be no refunds. If you move up in distances please be prepared to pay the price difference.

What if I sustain a injury or can't make it to the event, what are my options? Sorry there are no refunds, roll overs or transfers.

Can a entry be transfered to someone else. No.

Can I pick up someone else's race packet? Yes with a note and phone number to reach the individual who's packet you are picking up.

Can I pick up my race packet on race day? No you must pick it up at the expo.

What time does the race start? Marathon 7:30 am / Half Marathon & Relay 8:00 am / 5k 8:30 am

Early Start: Can I start the marathon 1 hour early, 6:30 am? Yes but only if you need the extra time, check in with the timers at the start line at 6:15 am.

Will there be professional photographers on the course? Yes by ASI Photographers.

Is the race Chip Timed? Yes, Chip Start, Chip Split, Chip Finish.

Do you get a commemorative shirt when you sign up? Yes.

Do you get a finisher medal? Yes, Full Marathon & Relay and Half Marathon. 2010 Half Marathon Marathon medals will fit together with 2009 Half Marathon medals.

How many miles is the Tacoma City Marathon? 26.2 miles or 42,195 meters.

Is the Ruston Tunnel going to still be open for the 2010 Marathon? YES.

Is the Marathon course flat? No, train for hills:)

Is the Half - Marathon flat? Around mile 11 - 12 there is a hill but then you have nice long downhill to the finish. Much of the course is on the beautiful waterfront.

Can you walk the Marathon? We have a 7 hour cut off with the early start.

Can you walk the Half Marathon? We have a 4 1/2 hour cut off.

Can you walk the 5k? Yes.

Are strollers allowed? Yes in the 5K & Half Marathon Only.

Where can I park? Street parking is available /Link to Parking Garages.

How far is the Start from the Finish line? About 4 city blocks.

Will there be showers available after the race? Yes at the YMCA 1 block south of the start, directions HERE

Is there a gear check at the start? Yes, located in the parking garage next to the start line.

Are there porta potties at the start? Yes and plenty of them!

Are there Honey Pots on the course? Yes at all the aid stations (about every two miles).

Can I wear headphones during the race? Yes, be safe and don't turn them up so loud that you can't hear volunteers or police. We recommend leaving one ear bud out.

Will there be pacers to get me a Boston Qualifier? Yes, by the Elite Marathon Maniacs!

Will there be energy gel on the course?
Yes, GU & GU20 will be on the course. GU at mile 7.7 - 14 - 20.

Will Art & Stan run the Marathon in 2010? Just in! Stan & Artie will be running 2010 TCM!
