The Tacoma City Marathon is proud to sponsor a satellite run for our troops in Kabul, Afghanistan. I Corps of Joint Base Lewis-McChord (along with an international cohalition) will be running a marathon, half marathon, and 2 or 4-person relay on April 27, 2012. All finishers receive a Tacoma City Marathon shirt and medal.
Update from Kabul: the troops have finished the Tacoma City Satellite Marathon!! They had 12 runners complete the marathon, with times ranging from 3:04:13 to 6:04:13. The 1/2 marathon had about 40 runners and the relay had 11 teams.
